2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials

The most elite athletes in the nation are going to be competing for a spot on the U.S. team for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing, China.
Hometown Eugene, OR is hosting Eugene 08 at the legendary Hayward Field. This is not the first, having hosted three consecutive Olympic Team Trials in 1972, 1976, and 1980.
Also known as the city that started Nike and helped produce one of the most famous track stars, Steve Prefontaine a former University of Oregon runner.
