America Recycles Day (ARD), held every year on November 15, is a national campaign to raise awareness about the benefits of recycling and buying products made with recycled materials. Buying recycled is the step that "closes the recycling loop."

Screw recycles day, I find that caring for the world around us everyday is a lot easier than it seems. Try one new action a month and you'll see just how easy it is.....

Try One!
-buy a compost bin and throw your food waste in there
-bring your own bag when shopping (I keep a chico bag in my very small purse and reusable bags in my car)
-replace your incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent lights
-freecycle or goodwill your old stuff
-Unplug electronics that are not in use
-Turn off lights in unoccupied areas
