So, what to do with the old yoga mat?
Don't throw it away. There are so many other options that are more yoga-minded, from gardening knee pads to replacing packing peanuts. If you're not so crafty, move on to the third R, and recycle.
A new company in Eugene, OR is now offering a recycling program for your used yoga mats. They've even partnered with Manduka, only my favorite yoga mat company. If you recycle your old yoga mat you can receive a 20% discount from Manduka.
